The coat of arms has three distinct sections, the vicuña, the cinc hona tree, and a golden cornucopia with coins spilling out. The red represents the blood spilled by those who died fighting for the nation, and the white represents liberty, justice, and peace for the nation. Overall, I actually do like the symbolism behind this flag a lot. These colors actually do have meaning though, with the red symbolizing the blood of the fallen Bolivian soldiers who fought in the war for independence, yellow representing the country’s rich mineral wealth, and the green representing the nation’s fertile lands. I like the eagle and the image inside the center of the flag. Unfortunately for the Bolivians, this is not the flag for me. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s jump into the first Latin American flag! Bolivia Today, I will be chatting about the appearance and origin stories of all of the flags of Latin America with some personal commentary on what I think of each. Once a way of claiming rights to territory and making your presence known, flags today are a sign of national pride and are filled with the rich history of its nation’s upbringing. Girlfriend also loved it btw.Flags are cool. When that theme song comes on I just get a stupid grin. I've probably seen it 10 times at this point, never gets old. What's beautiful is that its plausible to think it could be a dream or reality, both sides seem to have pretty tight explanations, and part of the fun is not knowing for sure. I think it's one of those movies where it becomes WAY more than the sum of its parts. Best of all it has an amazing sci-fi hook: what if instead of going on a vacation, you could just get a memory of it? This movie really has it all: tons of action, many twists and turns of the plot, amazing set pieces where characters are literally dangling by a thread, funny gags, gorgeous actors, witty dialog, cheesy Arnie one-liners, and a plot that doesn't assume you're a dummy while being very accessible. It's just one of my favorite movies, definitely one of my favorite Arnie movies." It's so fun and kind of silly, but it's also very smart. To which I replied "It's definitely not hard to follow, and it's just one of the best action sci-fi movies ever. "Why do you like this movie? Is it going to be hard to follow?" she asked. My girlfriend gave me a "let's watch whatever you want" movie night this weekend and I immediately said I want to watch Total Recall. Man, I just wanted to come here to heap some more praise on this movie. Edgemar his job, as well as facing legal action. Edgemar is unable to convince Quaid to come back to reality, then it will be a PR disaster for the Company (especially considering that it wouldn't be the first time this has happened) and it could very possibly cost Dr. That reason being that he is a high ranking employee of the Rekall facility. Edgemar is in fact real and has entered Quaid's fantasy, from the real world, then I think that he has a very good reason to sweat. Quaid not wanting to leave this idyllic fantasy, projects a bead of sweat upon is subconscious' warning, in order to validate silencing that warning and staying within the fantasy. He could merely be a representation of Quaid's subconscious (who deep down knows that this is all a fantasy and that something has gone wrong). Edgemar is a real person within that context. The guy who tries to talk him out of the dream by a pill sweats proves his story of being an implant was false because an implant character shouldn't sweat if he was only an imaginary person.įirstly, this presumes that Dr. I realise this might never have been the point of the director by adding those scenes, and they serve the purpose to let us the viewer understand the plot better, but I think it's fun to think about this not being a movie thing and rather something that tells us what's real and what's not. Recall (the company in the movie) would have no reason to spend time "creating" such scenes, when the customer don't need to dream them. Not others, and especially not scenes where you aren't present. You dream scenes from your own point of view. ![]() Why would these scenes be there if this was all a dream in Quaids head? That's not how you dream. The parts of the movie that might/might no be a dream has multiple scenes where Arnolds character Quaid isn't present, and clearly show no sign of knowing that they have ever taken place. ![]() ![]() My argument is for the movie events actually taking place and not being a dream: I know there a lots of points for and against both these theories, but while watching the video something dawned on me that I never actually though about nor read being discussed. The focus being on is the events in the movie is a dream or reality Today I watched Heavy Spoilers breakdown of 1990's Total Recall.
